It doesn't quite get there, I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt.

The idea of the film offended me, but the trailer isn't as bad as I had feared.

I can't quite accept Anne Hathaway as 99.

99 was always more of a hot little siren to me than anne, and max was less.,. than.. well.. a comedic doosh? eeeeh please dont shoot me fans of his! lol. I do find him hilarious but... i dont know i am just not feeling it. I am sure the film will be hilarious but i feel that is offensive to the show in the sense that younger generations that didnt grow up watching the show after school wont appreciate the beauty of the original!

i dunno, i always liked Barbara Feldon (99). She could express the elegance and calmness which was 99's character, bit of a yin and yang to 86's recklessness and foolishness - in his own bumbling way. Will be interesting to see how Anne Hathaway goes in this film - undoubtedly she'd know of the expectations from long, die-hard fans of Get Smart.
