With the 30% off all hosiery deals going on in Myer and DJs, I've gone a little stocking happy. Am currently obsessed with Leona Edmiston Pins.

www.leonaedmiston.com (for some reason the url tags don't work?)

Bought 2 pairs of the lace stay ups today. They're absolutely adorable, with the lace edging at the top and silvery blue painted into the lace at the top, the grip section at the sole which is Leona's signature and a reinforced toe. Currently trialling them to see if they really do stay up and will update later! =D

Anyone have any recommendations or gripes?

I have wayyy too much hosiery as it is!! I have drawers full, it's kind of ridiculous because I probably only wear about 20% of it! I love Leona Edmiston pins - I have some really out there colours in them. A pair of aqua-coloured fishnets and some deep-pink opaques with diamond-prints, as well as some more every-day ones.
The pink ones are patterned kind of like this, only pink (duh):

I go crazy at hosiery sales :) Haven't checked out Myer and DJs this time around (for that very reason).

I find Voodoo have some nice ones in the lower price range. Leona Edmiston, Love Kylie are a bit more pricey but have some beautiful stuff. I recently found a pair of black opaque stay-ups with black bows at the top (can't recall the brand??) that are so cute and great for winter.

Uh-oh I could write on this topic all day!

My only gripe is that I tend to tear stocking way too quickly (not so much opaques, but sheer ones definitely). I've heard if you put them in the freezer it will prevent tearing?? Has anyone tried that? I'm kind of reluctant in this weather...

Let me see if I can get this url thing working... It may be that you need to put in the http://

I bought the Voodoo fishnets in turquoise and black before they had the 30% off Leonas sale! I bought patterned burgundy Voodoo catwalk ones and some black patterned ones as well and I'm absolutely hooked. The stayups with bows sound adorable! Would love to know where you got them if you remember. =D Ebay only has hooker stockings lol.

Ergh at the thought of putting stockings in the freezer before wearing. I only know the trick with clear nailpolish, i.e. stopping runs with it.

I saw the Love Kylie stockingettes? They were v. cute but none left in black.

The Leona stay ups are great, I wore them around the house last night and they didn't even budge a little bit.

I want to find more hipster stockings though; I find the normal ones just come up way too high :/

I was impressed with the Love Kylie hipster fishnets and opaques. I am digging the current re-invented love of hoisery. Found some truly stylish ones in old antique clothing shops.

Update on the stay-ups, wore them walking around the city all day, plus watching the World Cup Aust v Japan match and they didn't even hint at budging once. I'm v. glad I bought two pairs.

What have you found at antique shops PixieMinx? Do describe!

Oh god, I'm dying to find some silk stockings. The internet has some but I'd like to see/feel them in person. Those silk bow ones sound absolutely divine; putting lace, bows and silk together just makes me droool.

Pics? =P

i love stockings... they can make a boring outift look soo cool. love kylie are my favourite, really beautiful. i found that vintage stores and other old clothing places hav exquisite detailed stockings... my grandma even gave me a pair that she used to wear when she was younger and she saved!!

I am a massive fan!!! Although I must admit I have been a bit nervous about venturing into the stocking department and have just been sticking with the Leona Edmiston Pins pantyhose as I am terrified of walking along and my stocking falling down! That would be awfully embaressing... plus I always figured they moved alot and would be impossible to go out dancing in.

Any thoughts? How is everyone going with there sexy stocking experiences???
