For all of our readers on the sunny side of the world, you have no doubt been thinking about summer and which bathers or bikinis to wear as you hit the waves.

Well there has been quite a comeback from the "monokini" - a cutout one-piece swimsuit that has the sexiness of the bikini, but leaves a little more to the imagination. There are heaps of differing varieties and styles, everything from your basic cut at Target to designer glam that you could wear by the pool with heels. So which would you prefer, a teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini or are you taking the switch to the one piece monokini?

Paris Hilton is clearly a fan of the trend - having been photographed in several different monokinis of late.

they would look good on the right person, such as Jessica Alba. Paris is a no no - in those photos anyway!

i dont like the ones with the cutouts on the sides- make my curves look much straighter actually.

i'm seconding the tanning comments- the weirdest tan lines ever! i have this adorable brown and gold d&g one, but im too scared to wear it anywhere outdoors due to the fact that i would have a triangle tan line on my tummy!

Not sure bout this style, you'd def have to have the right curves to suit the cutouts. Don't like the paris shots, the star one is a bit tween like.
