The 'goddess dress' was the prevailing style at this year's TV Week Logie Awards (the closest Australia has managed to the Emmy's for our confused international readers) held in Melbourne.
Sequence beading and glittery embroidery on the top half of the gowns with long, flowing material hanging from under the arms made a change from the normal 'classic' cindarella cuts that usually dominate.
The sequencing bought a touch of glamour to the awards show, with personalities such as Sophie Faulkiner, Livinia Nixon, Gold Logie winner Kate Richie, Megan Gale (pictured with boyfriend Andy Lee) and Natalie Blaire, all wearing different variations of the baby doll look.
Of course, the trend has taken its time in hitting the Australian red carpet, and has been sported internationally, by the likes of Keira Knightly and Lindsay Lohan, for sometime.
