The fur trend

Despite the cries from lobby groups like PETA, the trend towards fur remains strong in the celebrity circuit. Whether real or faux - fur has been spotted on a number of big name trend-setters.

The Olsens are frequently spotted in fur:

Mischa takes her dog for a walk in a luxe fur-trimmed coat:

Kate Moss is a regular fur-wearer:

Sophie Coppola out for a stroll:

What are your thoughts on the fur trend?

i love fur! i have 3 fur coats, a cropped little faux fur jacket, a big long faux fur coat (think typical moviestar coat) and a black mid-length rabit fur coat. I know im gonna get abuse for it but i have a leather couch, leather in my car, leather shoes, leather boots.. and i eat meat anyway!

I'm okay with fake fur, but I personally wouldn't wear any fur.

I love winter in Melbourne, i love how people dress and try new ways of keeping warm. Summer has been to easy here, fluro, skanky maxi dress's from every female shop, my favourite is walking along brunswick street or smith street and seeing what people come up with. Youll have to come for a holiday tanyus.

I wouldn't wear fur (i'm vegan) but i can appreciate the aesthetic [i]on other people[u].
After having spent 12 years in a tropical climate, I can definitely appreciate seeing winter clothes on the street and in my wardrobe.
If fur is going to be a major trend this year, i guess PETA and other vegans like me will have to let live (no pun intended).
Which reminds me- fashion is totalitarian :)
