Loved the piece! Hell will freeze before the streets of Perth ever see Lanvin and Demeulemeester tees, but I watch and wait with morbid curiosity.

I'm amazed at how many of the Comme de Garçon tees I've seen since reading this article - they really are prolific.

Isn't that the beauty of an overpriced designer t-shirt?

Personally I like looking for the t-shirts that have the best designs and fit for personal style and body shape. Even if from a no-name. On the other hand, it's interesting to see how much people will pay for something and why.

oh they're not THAT expensive like $150 to $300 ish... but you compare the quality of the design you can see the difference between those fringe fashion brands that make cheap tees and jack up the prices. The cut is better, the styles can always be worn for seasons after, the quality is better therefore you're inclined to take good care of it and make it last longer

*laughs* I've never spent more than $80 on a t-shirt. Since I rarely find designs I love, I take care of my clothes as well as I can no matter how much they cost. As I should after the amount of searching I do to find some of them. Something that makes me happy is that I've found them all over the place, yes it took some hunting, but I love it when my persistance is rewarded. My favorite tee is going strong after 4 years or so, it only set me back $20 and was from a small, independant stage production I took part in. Yet it's a classic cut, the perfect sleeve length, wonderful neck-line and the right body-length. :) To each their own fashion resources I suppose.

I think its more the quality of the fabric - I would pay a good price for a great cut and top quality fabric - and not just some label graphic.
