Ah yes, the Aussie Battler. Who are they battling against? I know we're involved in the war on terror but why is every dole bludger and his dog on the front line? Why do we even need the battling mentality? Getting a job and earning a living isn't a battle, it's life.

And the bus driver's that abuse me...for something....anything! Just leave me the fuk alone u mean old men...or get the fuk out of the profession. I don't care if I shld of stuck my hand out or if im just going down the terrace and not paying a fee...just zip it bud! Doesn't warrant u the right to ruin my day....

Oooh hates. Wow. Can I fill you in on a few of mine.

Right - today's pet hate is the word hero. Everyone is a bloody hero these days. "Tram driver revives passenger - hero" "Pilot lands plane in turbulence - hero" "Footballer scores goal, has cocaine addiction - hero" Sod off media. I hate this overuse of the word hero. Doing your job (or being a scumbag) doesn't make you a hero, a hero is running into a burning building, heroes were those in the Charge of the Light Brigade.

Onto others;

Filling in forms at university. Every f'ing form asked me if I was an Aborigine or a Torres Strait Islander. Why? Does it matter? Does my skin colour mean that I don't have to fill in the rest of the form? Will I get an extension on that late book? Or extra time in the computer lab? Did I not fill this in 100 times when I enrolled, so why do I still need to fill it in to graduate? Could if possibly have changed over four years? Is it contagious? Probably not, but that peeved me no end. "At the end of the day" (saying that solely to tease amethyst) I am British, and human. And I worked my arse off in Year 12 to get to uni. Thank you.

The inability to speak. Really, communication is so simple. Yet some people open their mouth and out comes some drivel of sorts. "I brought this yesterday" - really, where did you bring it from? "I fink" - how does one do that exactly? "Youze" - I'm not a sheep, or four legged, so say something like 'you guys' or 'all of you' but don't label me as something woolier than I am.

More later :)

too good

and best not to get me started on my pet hates...not tonite....oohhh well since u pushed me....

customers who are rude to u from the moment they walk into ur shop...u have done nothing to them, have greeted them nicely and helpfully, yet they r just plain rude to u. if im having a bad day i dont pass it on by being rude to every sales person/check out chick/ receptionist etc that i meet.

next....

'friends' who start a msg or ph call by abusing you for not staying in contact as often as u usually do, eg, and i quote: "i havent heard from u in so long, we used to hang out almost everyday and if not txt a few times a day, now i hardly hear from u...i guess im not as cool as all ur other friends and if u want to be like that then fine..."
now let me stop it right there....WTF??!!! where is the: hello, hows things? are u ok? whats happening?.....since when did the fact i havent sent them a msg in 2 wks make them uncool??? and uno what, the reason that i havent sent u a frivilious msg in 2 wks is because i have actually been busy with important stuff, but u wouldnt know that because u didnt care to ask...........

whew...maybe i should stop there hahha before my blood pressure needs to be brought bak down with medication....

Mine is when someone says "money is no object". Last time I checked, money is of physical matter and that lends itself to being a candidate for an object. Shouldn't it be "money is no obstacle?????"

Well I hate it when people in the cinema ruffle their chip packets and chew on popcorn really loudly throughout the movie

Oooh... someone did that at a BALLET I went to once... they pulled a chip packet out of a huge monstrous UGLY bag and started rustling at a classical ballet...
I was SO ready to throw my programme at them, not to mention everyone else around me!!!

I have to agree... I'm so glad I can get on a soapbox and not have everyone judge me because I don't want to be accosted by random charities ALL THE TIME!!!

I support the charities I really care about! I volunteer! But I'm hopeless at saying 'no' so I end up giving all this money to other charities I don't really care about because I feel like a mean, uncaring person if I turn them away with nothing!
Oh but the thing I hate MOST about the charities is when they REFUSE my good-intentioned donation because unless you "sign up" and donate $30 once a month, your contribution "means nothing". I have seriously been told this.

You should try Prague. There you practically get told off for wanting to but something in the store by the sales people.

There's no excuse for being rude to strangers with no cause. Period.
I'm only ever rude when people are difficult and/or rude to me. Then I metamorphise into truly scary Xin...
