i have bad luck with shoes.
bought a pair of gucci heels while in sydney:

like those but with a black bow... anyway wear them to a wedding..to work once..and the heel proceeds to semi fall apart on one, and the bow is coming off. So i call gucci in sydney and tell them- they say i can take them to the gold coast and they will call and organise for me to get them exchanged. So i drive (1 hour) to the coast on saturday, to have the pretty little thing working there (who speaks hardly any english) look at me like i have 2 heads when i explain whats going on. then she asks me to come back in a week (uhm no?) or an hour (No. I want this sorted out please) so she calls sydney and then goes to find the right size to exchange, and i show her whats wrogn with my shoe. The other pair comes out and is scratched- but she also proceeds to semi rip the bow off the shoe in an attempt to show me that thats how they were designed. So now that pair is wrecked too. I leave my baby's there and am told the manager will call me today and the shoes will be sent to head office. I also get a parkign ticket because i was in there for an hour and the parking was for 20 mins.
today i get a phone call telling me they will give me a credit note (what?) and i said no, i want an exchange for the same shoes, my shoes fixed, or a refund. They will get back to me.
i get better service at nine west!

Wow. a) the shoes are really cute but b) that's terrible service, particularly from a luxury brand like Gucci.

People asking me how long I have been "speaking the english".
People asking me when/where did I learn to speak english.
People telling me that I "speak english very well!" in a patronizing tone.

I've had something similar as well. Wow, you're asian and you have an Aussie accent...

Yes...I guess I do o_O

What was funny was when I went to LA and seeing the face on some people when they heard my accent. They were probably expecting either Chinglish or an American accent, but when I started speaking I could seriously see their minds working overtime just to process it all in. :D

Store attendants who assume because I have blue hair I shouldn't be in their store.

Oh noes... It's a vagrant with blue hair or something!

Lets just get ever attendant in the store to watch me like a hawk while I try on a pair of shoes just in case I am trying to steal them.

Its hair, fucktards. And I probably spend more on maintaining it than you do on yours. So go get bent, and while you're at it, these shoes in my size.

Ooh, I have a couple of new ones!!

Drivers who honk at you and assume you'll take it as a compliment as they perve.

Creepy older guy who comes into my store and says "you're a beautiful girl", "oh, you're aussie background? aussie girls are fantastic" and "are you married? have a boyfriend?" and asks for my number (after finding out I'm 17!) claiming "there's not that much of an age difference!" (*cough* yeah right and don't care *cough*) and after politely refusing giving my number proceeding to ask if I would like his...

He was leering at me! And my male work mate had gone to put the bins out so I was alone!

Oh, the fact that in the event that should I be robbed, attacked, etc. in order to get the security to my store I would have to physically call them... what can I do? ask my attacker to wait a couple of minutes while I inform security?

Gah!

Terrible experience there Ruru. Shoes are such a hard thing to sell, because the maintenance issues are always outside of the shop's hands. But that's where service is meant to make up for it.

When someone eats yoghurt or something in those little plastic processed food containers & they scrape every ounce of it out! Scraping around the sides a gazillion times just in case they've missed some of it...why don't you lick it too you turkey! Im a believer in waste not want not but sometimes just sometimes you don't have to be greedy & annoy the p*ss out of me in the process. Grrr...then they throw it in the bin loudly like a pro basketballer! Manners really are an art!!!

"ummm, d'ya wanna study at State library. all the mcrob girls are gonna be there"
"oh ma gaaaaad, lets got get bubble tea"
"umm who wants to take sticker photos with meeee"
"I know how to speak French. SUPRE!"
"You look like fugita"
"My friend got stabbed at whitehouse, omg he's sooooooooo connected"

*SLAP* hahaha
