Hi!

I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on what the top colours are for men and women this summer in Australia.

I work in the mens department in a large dept store, and we got a notice this week advising that the clothes we're getting in next week consist of greys, plums, aubergines, lilacs, sky-blues and dark army-greens. Then, two weeks after that, the colours are moving towards chartreuse greens, blues and navys.

So I'm wondering if anyone else thinks that darker colours are a little more 'winter' than spring/summer?

For the guys I think colour pallete is leaning towards Winter. With exceptions of the likes of SABA who've used brighter colours like melon and bay blue. Though for the ladies canary yellow and the bright jewell colours are gonna be in.

The darker colours aren't very practical particularly during summer...you'll just end up baking!

yeah. I'm looking forward to getting to work tomorrow and seeing what the new clothes look like! Should be interesting! :/

Do let us know. By the sounds of it they're using the play it safe colours that were prominent throughout Winter, after the sales experiences of 2006 it's not really surprising. Thankfully next year promises to be far more interesting.

I have to reset my store tomorrow with the new clothes (assuming they came in today) so i'll see if I can sneak a couple of images of them once they're up.
