Im not for it at all, just keep what youve got - sometimes it does more damage than good

I'm always of the mind that natural beauty is the best kind... at the same time though, almost everyone has things they'd like to change, and provided it's within reason I don't have a problem with it.

What's the difference in the procedure between temporary and permanent?

All injectibles are temporary.
The only permanent kind of lip enhancement involves taking your palmaris longis (extra tendon from your wrist) and putting it into your lip.

see i dont know... i have issues with my nose because it has been broken a few times and i would love to get it fixed but i am just terrified of the pain and the procedure. What if it was really obvious and all of a sudden i was that young girl who has had a nose job? i am all for natural beauty so that would be quite insulting for me to be known as that person... i have a massive personal moral dillema with plastic surgery which is why i havent had the procedure done yet... i just cant make a decision!

My mother had her boobs done a few years ago (she was 42). She thinks it is the best thing she has ever done and wishes she had done it earlier. She lacked self confidence in some clothing because she was small and had 3 children. Now she flaunts them and she is much more confident in general.
The only thing i disagree with is girls having it too young. They can be too young to understand the consequences and sometimes you havent stopped growing.

at my beauty clinic you can get an injection done for your lips that lasts up to 10yrs whereas temp lasts anywhere between 3 to 6 months. I totally agree with Kay Bikkies about making the wrong decision at a young age. On the contrary, I think a woman is most beautiful after 30 but it seems the surgeons target 30+ so I never really understood that. :)

i was reading a magazine the other dayand saw an ad for a payment plan for new boobs. I thought that was ridiculous. I mean having them done i dontmind, what i do think is wrong is luring people who cannot afford to havethem done by offering loans and payment plans and all this. iknow a few girls around 18 who have had them done and personally, when i hit 20 i went up 2 cup sizes without much (maybe 2kgs) weight gain purely from hormonal changes in my body- if i had my boobs done at 18 i would now have to have them taken out! My mom however, had broken her nose in medical school and now has a deviated septum, which she nearly had surgery to fix (her nose that is) and now, she is wishin she had it done when she was younger because it makes breathing through her nose difficult. Corrine i would get it done if it bothers you.

on a slightly unrelated note- when cameron diaz was getting her nose done, her publicist said it was due to a deviated septum and the media were laughing about it. Was watchin an older cameron movie with mom a few weeks ago and there was a close up of her face and mom goes "wow, that girl has a serious deviated septum". weird. Oh and mom has given up her work as an anaesthetist and is now looking into giving people botox.

I don't see what is ridiculous about offering a payment plan.
Many people simply don't have a spare $10,000 lying around which they feel they can justify (even to themselves) using for aesthetics when there may be other priorities.
