One of my favourite books of all time is apparently being turned into a film, directed by none other than Tim Burton.
According to justjared, Australian actress Mia Wasikowska is slated to star in the new adaption of Lewis Carroll's classic tale, and it will be a live-action / CGI version.

Tim Burton seems to be the perfect choice to bring Lewis Carroll's world to the big screen, can't wait to see it, I just wouldn't want to see it getting overly dark.
That's true, I love Burton's dark movies but at the same time he's done ones like Big Fish that are more magical than dark. He may just bring a perfect balance. I'm really hopeful this will turn out good, but will be so utterly disappointed if it doesn't!
I can't wait for the hidden creep to be brought out of Alice in Wonderland - I hope it's aimed at a more mature audience, despite the subject matter.
