Posted: 21.06.2007 at 01.20
Hi all,

I am on the look out for some general tips/advice on applying eye shadows/styles for myself. Usually when i do my promo shoots I have one of the makeup ladies do it for me and i just sit there like a lemon :)

I am going out more on my own alot and want to do some smokey eye shadow styles, I have been told i need to to blending....anyone able to give me some tips on applying this style.....

Just to give you an idea of color of my hair, i tend to either have purple/black hair, or Red/Copper long hair and my skin is extremely pale (some say almost undead looking hehe)...

So would greatly appreciate some advice/tips etc..

Hope everyone is having a great week, I am and i am going to Manchester on fri/sat/sun to do some various bits so will post new pics, I have a wicked little angel outfit, massive black wings...

I create smokey eyes most days Libby...whether they're subtle or dominant I line the eye with eyeliner then smudge the liner with a sponge-tipped applicator. You can build on that look by applying darker powder shadow and soften by blending.

I just finished a girls makeup for her formal and it looked amazing! I lined the eyes (cat like) with liquid eye liner (I am not a fan of liquid eye liner) then finished the look with diamonties. Much more involved but that is the simple version to give you an idea.

I am already assuming you are a fan of the fake eyelashes?! A definite must have!

Also, depending on the contours of your face you can also create different looks by simply blending darker & lighter liquid foundations to different areas of the face. Send me an email if you want me to expand on it.

Good Luck with your weekend!
