I'm living for a weekend, just not this one. My plans extend as far as picking up my suit and working more.

Ooo yukky. I remember Golden Orb spiders in Qld when I was a kid. Didn't know they were that dangerous. I used to steal their pretty webs (golden in colour, surprisingly enough) to make into rings for my fingers (another surprise I'm sure). It didn't work very well. Hmm.

Congratulations to Ray Villafane, a sculptor for DC Comics on his win Sunday night on the Food Network's Pumpkin Carving Challenge. The six and half hour event pitted four pumpkin carvers against each other in a three part competition. Part one involved a traditional Jack o Lantern. Part two: 3D sculpture. The final part, which was worth half of the points was the freestyle competition.
Yeah the bird is a finch which is about the size of a small pigeon, if that? Either way, I still wouldn't want to come face to face with this spider!
Congratulations to the pumpkin carver. It more or less guarantees kids will stay the hell away from his house for all of All Hallows.
