For many they are a necessity - but despite the stigma historically associated with them, glasses are now more acceptable than ever. During the Autumn / Winter collections, various designers sent models down the runway, male and female, in specs.


Thick-rimmed square glasses have remained popular for geek-chic styling, while more recently there's been a revival of the bigger, Buddy Holly style frames.

How neat. It looks like the large and quite masculine black glasses that I used to wear when I was 14 or so are finally trendy. And I was just getting used to my contact lenses...

What the first model is wearing is pretty though.

&& those 80s ones are cool too....maybe a tad big!!

i love kirsten dunst's and ashley olsen's glasses...does anyone have a tip of designers that make glasses for women like those?

LOVE the Hermés glasses... but somehow I don't think Miss Olsen is pulling off the look. Could just be the deer-in-the-headlights expression, but I don't think so. ;)

Yes, glasses are certainly becoming very popular. There are even unprescribed glasses !! :D In those situations, I think it really depends on the outfit and the person themselves to be able to make the glasses work.

Definitely, it has a lot to do with confidence and personality.
