I heard the same story. Here's my two cents:
If you're going to be put on a podium and paraded around tv and in public, I understand you have to dress the part. Maybe this doesn't mean spending big bucks on clothing, but I'll give this particular woman the benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps it was easier to find the right outfit at an expensive store. Either way, it's also been shown that many gentlemen have been put in the same political predicament, or a similiar one where BIG bucks have been spent on haircuts, facials, etc. Bottom line: I don't care that much. And can I ask... These are politicians so are you really surprised?
