Belgian fashion designer Kris van Assche has given Details magazine his two pence on 'his guidelines for looking good'.

Some key gems:
2. Hats should become a "must" again.

6. The vest is the new jacket. It looks smart, but it's not restrictive. In the summer, I'm always wearing T-shirts with vests.
Others are downright confusing;
9. Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are the coolest couple on earth. When you see them together, it's like, "Wow!" He's the only man who can make funny glasses look cool.
Which we're taking to mean "don't wear funny glasses"

As am I. Winter hats have just started hitting the shelves again, so I can forsee a splurge coming on. Finding the right sizing is an absolute bastard though!

Being in a different hemisphere, Spring has just sprung in Charleston so I've just brought out my straw fedora again.

I have never, ever found a way awes vest. It's entirely too easy to end up looking like Charlie Brown. Let me know if you find a good vest place in Melbourne.

I haven't found a good vest place, but Ralph Lauren have just added a few very cool ones to their Winter collection. There's a variety of colours, including a very cool navy one - it has a vintage quality to it that would make it perfect for the season.

The only vest I have at the moment are your usual argyle looking ones, in various colours no less.

I'm on the hunt for new hats, esp the grandpa style ones.

Try the City Hatters at the Flinders Train Station next time you're in Melbourne. They have such a fantastic range!
