I'd just like to say thank you to the whole Fashionising community, you should all be very proud of what you've built and what you're apart of!

I've been a member of Fashionising since March this year and in that time I've received countless kind words of support, learned valuable lessons on the workings of the fashion industry, and have loved getting to know everyone! Now 9 months later, I've got the photos back from my first photo shoot for my label's leather jackets and I wanted to post them here first.

I really welcome your feedback, everything is upwards from here!

Very exciting to see the results of all your hard work - the photos are fantastic!! I think the idea of a niche label, specialising in a particular thing, is a great one... so that people know if they need that thing (in your case a leather jacket) they can come straight to you. I.e. you do one thing, and you do it well! Not that you can't then extend into other areas - you just do it as you grow and pay careful attention to building the brand rather than just the product range. From what we've seen so far I think you'll do really well.

I suppose the next question is... where can we buy it? :D

Tania, I completely agree with you. Establishing expertise in leather and staying authentic to that difference is at the core of everything the brand is doing now and has planned for the future. Next year we will debut our collection of leather accessories including leather belts, ties, suspenders, bags and wallets, keeping the same focus of the finest materials and traditional hand crafted construction right accross the range. No V&V monogram canvas =)

The jackets are made with Italian leather, carved horn buttons, silk linings and are all hand tailored in Perth, I'm definitely not shooting for the mainstream with my sizing or my distrobution, just a handful of select boutiques with the right appreciation of craftsmanship and the aesthetic.

Ruru, I'll definitely keep you posted with more details, and I'm looking forward to presenting the full collection (including casual jackets and a coat) in the coming weeks!

I'd be doubling up with all the good work done, but I have to say even the design on the logo is damn cool too :D

Coming into this thread is almost a 'me too'. Very impressed with what you've achieved James. It's so refreshing to see professional photos from the start - 99% of upcoming labels fail at the first major hurdle of presenting themselves in a professional way.

What's the shawl made out of on the dinner jacket? Loving the range, can't wait to see it in person!

Piro and Allan, coming from two professionals like yourselves, I take great delight in your compliments =)

Daniel, again, gracious thanks. Thats a velvet collar on the one button dinner jacket, but that jacket will have four collar options, peaked in leather or velvet and shawl in leather and or velvet.
