Does anyone have any recommendations for good vintage / second hand stores in and around Melbourne?

Ok so i have just figured out what cliques are. Yay for me. But to give u some pointers, as for second hand stores, i always find some really good pieces at the salvos in richmond both of them The one on Swan street is much nicer, Salvos in Hoppers Crossing is great, and there is a vintage store in Seddon, cant think for the life of me what its called but if u want some outrageous accessories thats the place to go. Also an insider tip, there is a second hand shop in Yarraville that opens only on tuesdays from 9am till 3. Its a little church and it has some fabulous stock. Alot of costume pieces and unusual things that they dont know the worth of. Scarves are a must from there!
I have many more too. I love a good bargain.

That place in Yarraville sounds like it's worth checking out on my next Tuesday off :)

The suburbs are really un untapped resource, they dont know the value of things and u find stuff from old grannies and grandads and good 80s things that if anything are great wardrobe pieces. HIGH st Northcote through to Preston. Fabulous!

I think I know the Yarraville place you mean, I've driven past it but never been in - will have to check it out!

Sometimes there stock is absolutely boring, but make sure you go through the belts bin, u find some really vintage items. Its run by some old biddies who take forver to sort through the stock, so keep ur eye out for things down the back that havent been sorted yet. they go like hot cakes
