How are you tying the cravat with a normal tie?

ooh its complicated if i use words lol... kinda like a scarf where you loop it around your neck twice and then just knot it in front of you.

Does anyone know how to store good vintage furs?

Hey TootToot, I have some vintage furs too. As far as I know you should do the following:

- DON'T store them in plastic as they need room to breathe
- Give them a bit of space, i.e. not crushed up against other items
- They're naturally for cold weather so don't take well to heat, so if you can keep them somewhere cooler, they'll survive better.

my tip as an ex brissy boy is find the salvation army depot in red hill. its hidden in the back of the suburb and has a rehabilitation center attached to it. They work at the centre processing all the incoming stuff... theres a huge warehouse full of just clothes + shoes... i miss it so much...

anyone know of the likes of in melbourne?

There are some massive one in the outer suburbs that I know of. I think the largest I've ever seen is the Noble Park store, but I'm yet to see anything good in there.

Tania is right about the plastic, it's a big no no for any good fabrics. Store it on a thick wood hanger to give the innards plenty of room to breath.
