My fellow fashionisers - I need some help!

I'm attending the launch party for 'In Vogue - 50 Years of Australian Style' the new book by Australian Vogue editor Kirstie Clements, and I am absolutely stuck on something to wear.

Does anyone have some suggestions for some good authentic vintage or vintage inspired Australian desginers? Better yet - are there any designers on here that fit this description that have a new range out or an item they would like to be photographed at an event?

Typically my personal style stands between Art Deco 1920's through to late 1930's, stopping just shy of the 'retro' era.

Help! I have about 1 week.

It depends on if it's an evening or lunch. But immediate thoughts were lines and squares if it's an afternoon. I was thinking about having a standard dress as an outfit complimented with an accessory like feathers in the hair, hat or fluffy scarf. With flat waved hair or dead straight fringe (like Chicago Musical).

Depends on how far you want to go with the theme but the accessories may be all you need to define the look.

I did see a few designs from Christopher Chronis recently that appeared to have a streamlined evening wear look. I would steer away from vintage and try to modernise the outfit personally.
