Back before the iPod, when MP3 players sucked, I rocked a recordable minidisc player, with which my MP3's kept me company on the bus to school. After crushing my standard headphones, I upgraded to an in-ear headphone (the Sony Nude-EX) and have been a huge fan of the design ever since. You've got to watch the ear-wax, and they're not good for sharing, but like you said Allan, they block out noise and by being so close in, you get excellent sound quality.
I rate them.
I hope the Skull Candy models come with a good carry pouch, because you want to make sure whatever you're lodging in your ear is kept clean! Also, pull off the rubbers and wash them in hot water regularly!
