Just switched over to digital not too long ago, need more $$ for the big toys :). Using the Canon 30D 2 x 2gig SD Ultra II CF and the 28-135 I.S EOS lens. which now thanks to digital technology is not something like a 45-215m.m. lol so i need another wide angle lens :P. oh an i have the 420 EX flash gun. For -20 C to -30C nite shooting i use my Pentax Asashi, with Takomar lens, 50 mm Macro@ f-2.8, 105 mm @ f-2.8, 28mm wide angle @ f-2.8, and 300mm fixed f-4 This way here i dnt have to worry about freezing electronics of shutter failure :)

I need more lens, but right now ts not going to happen. It is interesting though how limited gear makes u quite resourceful lol. I'd ask 2 borrow some gear on my next shoot but ur too far away :)

Hey guys,

currently using a Canon 5D, 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 both L series. I do fashion, weddings and theatre work and find that this covers me for most jobs. I also have a 350D body that I use on brighter theatre jobs if I need to swap lens often through a performance. I made the decision to go Canon about 2 years ago when film became unecconomical on some jobs and needed fast turna round for publication. Nikon was seriously behind at that stage and I had never bought a camera that used anything manual (both Canons are firmly on manual!)As none of my lenses worked with the Nikon digital bodies it wasn't so hard to switch. Nikon lens's are hit and miss over the past few years. Some are brilliant, alot are rubbish and price insn't an indicator! At least with Canon you know an 'L' series is going to be good. I still use Metz CT45's - again manual with a Minolta series IV flash meter.

Cheers
Andrew

I'm so desperately jealous of those of you equipped with the 1Ds... I'm hoping to pick one up sometime near the start of '08 if business is kind.
