I'm the fashion editor for the oldes daily newspaper in the Southeast United States...since 1800 something or the other...I'm also a full time student studying studio art.
I want to finish my degree and move to New York...I'm currently trying to get my foot in the door there.

Hello!
I'm a writer. Fiction, ghost, profile, buisness communications, news releases, academic writing assistance...
Well, if you need any of the above, just contact me...
But I love designing. Right now (since 1991, actually) I have been designing bead accessories... You may check out (and order!lol!) some of my single copy items at http://gypsy-fashion.blogspot.com as my website is still under construction...
I want to get rich through hard and honest work... So, if you can give me some work, I'd love to.

I used to be a fashion writer...well, sort of I still am. I quit my job and I've got about 2 weeks left and I have no idea what I'm going to do....
...to be continued....

Wow, big move. What brought it on?

Did you quit the Post and Courier all together S. MC. C?? :O Got any idea what's next? :)

I quit altogether.
There was one final straw in a big pile of straws that spurred it on.
They are getting rid of the fashion section eventually but I was told I would transferred to another department before the section was disposed of...so I said adieu.
I've spoken with managers at Ralph Lauren and Saks 5th in charleston about doing visual merchandising and have made contact with editors at several publications in the area. I'm pretty much stuck here until i finish school.

Getting rid of the fashion section?? They're insane..! I can see why you'd leave given fashion is what you want to work in. Well in any case you've had some really valuable experience so keep at it and you're bound to find something good soon :D Be sure to keep us posted...
