Though I think it's great that she appears to be confident in emphasising her petite curvy body, which I don't see a lot of curvey celebs heavily advertise their curves to an extreme.
I never understood how she can relate herself to Andy Warhol.
I think the fact that she overly exaggerate her style all the time, the shock factor is not really there for me. Perhaps her way of alluring people was a somewhat smart scheme she initiated, or maybe it's simply just her type of taste in style. I don't find her all that interesting in terms of style, but I do love her film clips because they're so animated-like and reminds me a bit like Gwen Stefani's quirkiness and some of Japanese music clips.
I couldn't help noticing all the negative comments about her. Even though I don't particularly enjoy her fashion, I think she's quite talented and creative.
She writes her own songs, plays the piano and I think quite a few of her live performances sound better than cd versions of her songs.
I'll definitely have to agree with the statement that she dresses according to her personality.
In an interview I saw, when she was 14 she performed in nightclubs, and she did a performance art show with lady starlight wearing an indian headdress and a bikini while gogodancing and lighting hairspray on fire.
I seriously think her fashion was just as unusual as a performer before she really "blew up". I mean, now that she's become so famous, its obvious why she'd dress this way all the time now since there are papparazzi and wants to stay like this as a performer for the people are always watching.
She has came a long way and did it all on her own. I do admire Gaga for being different. Why act the same and dress the same?.
Think Madonna and Michel Jackson, they broke the rules, but in future they will always be remembered as icons.
