I must say that I like her. Her style is not "fashion" in terms of luxury/elegance, but a way of expressing herself and getting the attention of the media... It is part of her job. Some people say that she wears like Roisin Murphy.

Lady GaGa is just an example of marketing gone mad. She is in costume all the time to create maximum public focus.

And sadly, the focus is largely from really young kids. Too much sexualisation of costume, clothing and general life-style can't be that good for society, surely.

Oh please, everything on her looks awful. i dont like her style and her music, she does all for the media, just like Katy Perry.

I think she's awesome! She's not the prettiest - she's not the skinniest. But she put's herself out there and is a truly entertaining!

She has numerous stylists that pick her outfits for every show,concert,tv appearance, fashion shoot all celebs do they dont all choose what they get to wear especially at the start of their careers.
Lady Gaga is styled and i think amazingly her style is unique, futuristic but everything she wears are garments designed by famous designers whos ideas were inspired by trend researchers a mahooooooosive industry so really it isnt Lady Gagas fashion shes just the famous celeb that wears the clothes and gets called a trend setter and a style icon when really hundreds of fashion people put her look together and are totally ignored for doing so.

With the ease of gaining free downloads the industries need to consider extra ways of augmenting the stars package and having her dress in such a memorable way it helps to create a product for consumers. Also with the advent of xfactor and american idol there is a conveyor belt of very talented nondescript pop acts being churned out and by creating this image around her it helps separate her from the crowd and give her a bit more credibility as not being in the same league as Britney, Kelly Clarkson etc.

I would prefer to watch one of concert than the vast majority of the rest of the current pop acts.

Music shouldn't be about getting media attention and making money and being in the limelight, making music shouldn't even be considered a job!... and thats all making music is to her, thats what makes me SO frustrated when i hear about her (and anyone else, for that matter, that uses music to make money and get attention). Making music is about yourself, making music for yourself, because you enjoy it, because your good at it (even if your not, if theres passion behind it, its worth the effort), because you want to... not because its the easiest way to get attention and make money.
She has no credibility at all.

And its not just her, its everyone out there making music for the sole purpose of attention and money, but she is the most apparent at the moment. It's people like her that have shaped the music industry into the pile of sh*t that it is today.

And i realise my opinion on this it just not what the music industry is today but one can dream.

I completely agree, music should be about a love of music and passion, not about attention, fame, money and stupid outfits.
