i really dont understand why anybody would need to carry 100gb of music on them. unless you are going for a 5 week jog or something?

There's always the fact that you can have video on there too.

i totally agree with ruru. i mean i'm lucky to fill my 2gb nano with music i will actually listen to. I mean sure i have a huge collection of music but i don't need to take it with me everywhere... and screw watching movies on that tiny screen.

What about the new touch, watching movies wide-screen?

Be aware that the older cables and hardware you have with the older gen. ipod videos won't work with this new generation of ipod videos. Going to be quite interesting since Apple have already annoyed a lot of their US customers with reducing the price of the 8Gb iPhone only a month after its release. Then again, those customers get a $100 refund...

If you have that much music on the ipod, do you actually listen to the majority of the songs often?

I have a lot of books on my iPod and usually I can't be bothered swapping them about regularly just nice to do one massive upload once and then only have to charge it instead of constantly swapping back and forth.

For anyone who commutes on public transport (except Melbourne trains where you can't get a seat) the video is going to be a massive advantage. As is the net browser.

Lol I even watch stuff on my iRiver e10...and that's a pretty puny screen as well :) I really should be bloody reading my books that I've been meaning to catch up on though.

Just found the prices;

AU$419.00 for the 8 gig
AU$549.00 for the 16 gig

For twice the size, the 16 is certainly well priced.

Vote on its sexiness factor.
