There are so many reasons for getting knocked back from coming into a club, anything seems to be a valid reason starting with Members only to the Face control or Dress control. In reality these things rarely matter sure there can be an occasion when there is a full house or you are not dressed for the occasion, but it seems its more to do with your attitude. So Allan and I did a little experiment to see what excuses could be used to knock us back from entry and we were unfortunately let into every club/bar/lounge we tried even though we were not dressed to the standards of some of the venues we tried to get into. With some places we didnt even wait in line we would just walk in through the members/guests entrance. This led to a lot of attention from promoters and the general crowd because they couldnt work out what is it that we do or say that lets us in so easily. (we will reveal more on this later)
What are some of the things you have said or done in order to get into a club/pub/bar/lounge.

lol, what a topic;

* This is my Black American Express (it wasn't)
* This is my minder (he wasn't, though he certainly looks like one)

There are more than that I'm sure, so I'll put some thought into it and get back with more :)

This is a funny one... Well, I used to just...ahem...befriend the owner of the club. Esp. when I was too young to get in. I've also mentioned knowing people that I usually never talk to... Eek!

i once tried the ol' 'dont you know who i am?!' and tried to pretend i was famous...but it didn't work!

slipping the bouncer a $20 doesn't hurt though :)

haha... Well, I was at a club in New York. It was one of my first times trying to sneak into high profile night-life, which is escpecially hard when your underage... And I became flustered when I was given a hard time at the door. Instinctively, I broke out into a 'You don't know who I am?' rage, because I figured if I were to be humiliated and rejected, I might as well go out with a bang. Luckily, a gorgeous guy behind me gave the security a look and laughed, "You really dont know her? Don't you read Page Six?" ...His friends were great and played along also. Because his posse was making a scene, other people on line tried to get a glimpse of who I was. (A 19-year-old student on summer break, haha) My friends and I were allowed in and, needless to say, I had a great hookup that night. ;)
