Hey, I'm totally new to this community, I found it through Google :) I've been looking for a place to discuss fashion with other fashion-lovers.

For the love of fashion, though, I'm practically a virgin. It's a pretty time-consuming hobby that involves a ton of trial-and-error but I'm willing to do the research. So here's a BCBG skirt I recently bought, but I'm unsure what to pair it with to make it more exciting. I already have a few ideas, but I'm not sure if they'd end up looking ridiculous.

The only safe combo I have in mind is just wearing a basic black tank with it. I don't know how I'd accessorize it, or what shoes I'd wear (I'm not really digging those black heels in the picture) I'm not terribly afraid of color, but I know what looks good on me and it's mostly neutrals (and sometimes yellow.)

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

It definitely looks like you'd need a top tucked into it, due to the way the waist band is. The black shoes are a bit heavy with white, you could try pretty much any other colour shoe though! A neutral might work.

Another idea for something a bit different, what about with white tights and silver shoes?

it's definately a transeasonal skirt so i would wear it over black tights & long black boots, a plain top, definately tucked in & a crop jacket, be it leather or try the wool & leather crop jacket from sabatini (i'm wearing mine today!) anthea xx

Beautiful skirt. To accentuate it's lightness and waving i'd put on a light chiffon blouse, medium tightly fit, with really short sleeves, decorated with an abstract painting with color range from ivory and beige to raspberry red. I'd also put on beige sandals and quite long earrings.

very nice skirt, recommend with tights also. But that would depend on where you live.
