Any tips for where I can pick up some good picture frames? I'm after something preferably in a wood grain, but everything I can across is so dull or modern :(

I've found that gift shops sometimes carry nice ones...

Rap on Bourke St (near Queen St) is good... and some of the shops on Brunswick St (around area between Johnston and Rose st)

There's a place on Glenferrie Road in Malvern which does framing.

It sounds super lame, but Myer have a great range of frames.

You can find some interesting frames on etsy too...and how about some of the quirky shops on Carlisle Street?

There's custom framers on Sydney Rd in Brunswick. I usually rush past so I haven't had a chance to have a good look.

How big do you want the frames? I know a great op shop that always has some great unusual frames, usually from deceased estates. Varied sizes.

That's the kind of thing I'm after TootToot - really different pieces. I have a wall in my hall that I'm filling with picture frames, and for the most part they have photos of my family from the Victorian era forwards. So the more eclectic (i.e. non uniform) the better.

One great place to add to the list: Provincial. They're at Highpoint and the Essendon DFO (other places too I suspect), and have a great range of faux vintage frames.
