A word to the wise, get the second generation of anything by apple, had many family members work for them and that's their advice.

So do you mean second generation onwards, or go second-hand and stick to second generation?

I have the 30G video ipod....its great! I can listen to music and see my favourite photos at the same time. Its great for exercising too...strap it on and I'm off....

i had one for a while and so did a number of my freinds and they all broke, or the software was difficult or immpossible to use. All the licenceing of music, they way it wont acknolage burt cd's, riped music of genuine cd's, how fussy it is with mp3's ect.... to much trouble and not worth it.

I have a San Disk, this little baby smaller than an ipod, will upload anything you want and so easy to use! Plug it in ur USB port, open file and then drag and drop whatvea music u want. You can ever check how much space u have left. None of this iTunes rubbies and red tape, this little S.D card is the best value and ease to use that ive found so far. oh, its got great batteiry life too.

I've got the 30G video iPod in black with my full name engraved on the back...I also have the 2G nano but that was a gift with purchase and it's still new in box....regift?

Sounds like a regift opportunity, as long as they don't bring out their new iPod at Christmas time!

I had a shuffle for running with, but since ive started running when its darker I cant use it - so i sold it and bought a psp ;) way sexier

i have a 60 gb video in black, i used to have the 40 gb photo but it took a crap. my lil bro decided he would be the super genius and fix it now it's his.
