Because its our heritage, and also it has tonnes of fun facts, I love Roman history especially the fall of the republic and the early caesars :)

I'm personally in love with architectural heritage - it very much is the definition of a society, and crap architecture leads to a crap bunch of people. I also love British history, particularly the history of her wars and Empire.

In terms of art and architecture: because the world just gets faster and faster and more advanced, yet our ability to advance is at the expense of our ability to create. We seem to lose the sorts of skills and crafts that used to make man-made things so beautiful â because we can do everything with cheap materials, in lazy ways, due to advances in technology. Things just never seem to be made with the same detail, craftsmanship and beauty that they used to be.
