Hey all

I was just wondering what your workout routine is. For me, i like to jog three times a week, around 6ks. I also like to go to the gym around three times a week as well. I spend about an hour just using the machines and freeweights. I also take protein supplimetns, colostrum and creatine. How about you?

i sit on my butt all day and eat whatever i want ;)
well untill about 2 months ago anyway- and my bmi was under the "healthy" range
now i jog a little (30 mins 4 times a week) and eat reasonably healthy (no fast food and hardly any junk apart from chocolate). I guess its cuz my bf is a gym junkie (he runs 10-12km a day and has a pretty well stocked gym at his place) so he is trying to get me active.
Creatine? woohoo for water retention!

Nothing more fun than playing with your own body chemistry!

I do what makes me feel good. I used to be a 3 times a week gym person, but had to give it a way in the latter part of this year because I simply didn't have the time.

These days I go for fast-paced walk each morning, it's a bit of a wake up to get the blood pumping. I also try and eat fairly healthy, though the odd bit of junk food finds its way into my diet so right now I don't feel the need to do any more.

With a lot more time on my hands in 2007 I expect to be back at the gym.

Mr Man - I know what colostrum is, but what's the advantage of taking it in regards to working out?

"Colostrum â the milk produced by a mammalian motherâs mammary glands for the first 72 hours after she gives birth â contains a variety of essential nutrients, growth-promoting compounds, immunoglobulins (proteins which fight disease), vitamins, minerals and amino acids. As you might expect, the stuff is good for newborns, giving them a head start in life by stimulating overall growth and fortifying immune-system function. Many athletes hope that colostrum will give them a boost, too, arguing that colostrum is so rich in anabolic and energy-enhancing compounds that it should aid recovery during periods of difficult training. Some athletes even go so far as to suggest that colostrum might have a direct, positive effect on performance. In fact, colostrum is now commercially available in the sports supplement marketplace (albeit in bovine rather than human form) and several colostrum studies have appeared recently in the scientific literature."

Gym 2-3 times a week. Run once or twice a week and go for a swim or a ride when i feel up to it.

The colostrum sounds serious. I've never heard much about it ... is it safe?

When I'm not sick and run-down, working too much, or during exam periods.. I have a great workout thing going.

My athletics coach keeps me in nip and has us training 3-5 times a week doing technical stuff, then running, then gym work for strength each session. We also have comps once a week during summer.

Nothing is ever done to 'tone' or to look good though... it's all about th strength and speed.. apparently I'm too little to do most things :( My coach would like me to eat more protein but she's Russian and I can't compete with that!

I wouldn't go out of my way for a routine - I do what I enjoy which includes pole dancing :)

Thanks Mr Man, I'll check it out. In the meantime, if you start growing a third arm - or have any other disturbing side-effects, please let us know :)

will do nathan. In the meantime Shivani, i am deeply interested in this "pole dancing" workout. It may be necessary that i come to a few of your training sessions, just for the sake of fitness.
