i dont have one of them, and i am a little confused by what one you are tlaking about and what the statement is? please explain! (I am feeling rather pleased I only wear silk scarves though, I would die to think I was making some un-known statement - how embaressing!)
It would look good only if you know how to carry it..i mean you should not look like a baby with handkerchief :P i like hood jackets more for gang then suffocating bandana around your neck.
Bandanas are the perfect accessory for spring. If you wear bright colors and designs you will not look like you are in a gang. They are also good for putting up in your hair as a headband or tying it so it forms a bow on your head.
Its all in how it brings your outfit together. For the spring, try bold colors that pop like turquoise, dark purple, or black and white accent colors. I dont think; there are any turquoise and purple gangs out there, I could be wrong:).

What do you think about wearing a bandana around your neck? What about over a Vneck so it fits like a puzzle?
I'm always scared when I wear a certain color out because of gangs and how over-protective they are of "their" colors, but sometimes you gotta wear what matches! Even if it means putting your life in danger.
