characteristics that kill a relationship

I always seem to go for really good looking guys but who are sooo shallow and so full of themselves.
Over confident lads kill relationships because realistically they cant handle being in a relationship they constantly complain how their too young to be in a relationship (20-24age) and how they much rather play the field but have you on the side (dont worry im not a door mat i dnt agree to this at all)in other words they want to use you then run off hurt you then crawl bak 2 u then just do it all over again!!!
Good looking lads who know it and hav girls lusting over them shouldnt fool themselves and try to convince a girl that they wanta relationship when they will never be faithfull.
All i think is that when they lose their looks as they get older no1 is guna want them cuz of their reputation of bein such a man slag!!!!
SORRY GLAD I GT THAT OF MY CHEST!!!

I do believe that there are a lot of factors existing that kill a relationship.

First of all, I do think, that honesty really is a main factor of a properly working relationship, but I do also think that there are things partners should not be too honest about, above all things that cause too much jealousy and envy. Envy is a killing curse for a relationship.

Friendships with an 'Ex'-Partner is absolutely not working in a relationship, not if the partner really is honest. Because who really wants to part love with someone who had this love before, in ore ways than just one?

Not accepting your partner for who they are and secretly trying to mould them into what you want them to be is a major no-no.

Relationship killer for me is bad hygiene..doesnt matter how good looking, and how smart, rich, funny, successful he is, if they have bad hygiene it doesnt matter how secure they are. I'm not even necessarily talking about body odor, i mean things like scruffy beard, yellow teeth, bad breath, messy hair etc etc...that kills it for me..well that and hairy backs

I think that yes insecurity in either partner can kill a relationship, but there can be other more annoying things. Selfishness for example. There is nothing more hurtful than a person that cares only about themselves, and pays no attention to you, even when they claim they are in love.

OMG I totally agree with both of you, insecure girls become annoying because they nag to try to keep hold of a guy, but inevitably this pushes him away.
The key to a successful relationship in my opinion is not only to be focused on the other party, but to also be true to yourself.

I totally agree with this. I also agree due to experience. Hahaha.. But I learned my lesson. Anyway, aside from girls being insecure, I don't like nagging from a guy and also being possessive. I really hate the possessive types. I had a boyfriend in 2006 who was so possessive that every minute I have I should be with him and I even changed my number thrice because he was being jealous of who I was texting with even if there's nothing to be jealous about. At first, it was fine because I love him and I was always thinking he will change if he loves me. But again I learned my lesson, you can't change someone if they don't want to change themselves. Bow! Hehehe.. =)
