Hi 'nisers,
Not sure if there's a thread/blog on this already but having fallen over myself when I spied Hannah Marshall's Box Dress in Opening Ceremony, and hearing that sculpture will move south from the shoulders for FW09/10, I wondered people's thoughts on the wearability factor of child-bearing dresses. Check out the pics http://imwearing.wordpress.com/2009/05/21/the-hips-dont-lie/http://imwearing.wordpress.com/2009/05/18/subway-girl-youre-style/[url]
Shall they forever remain in editorials?
xx

Daniel Alexander does a tulip dress, and I witnessed a girl wearing it who's very slender everywhere except for her hips. It actually looked great on her - maximised her features and disguised her flaws. She was really not keen to put it on, but he insisted. And then she was thrilled with herself. Haven't ever revisited that story to find out if she's embraced the trend beyond that one dress, but she def should have - she looked great.

Hmmm, I'm a hung jury, but that sounds awesome - definitely one for the skinnies, though, as you say Airdrie. I would kill to turn up at an event in the HM dress, after a week of not eating ;) I think it will trickle down nicely as the subtler tulip.
