As long as both people are of the same understanding, then it's fine IMO.

Friends with benefits i have, you have to keep a strict rule on them if you want the casual sex here and there... with NO strings attached! Some times you or the other partner will get a little to carried away or get to attached and crazy.. needs to be strictly hey phone call here and there and the lets catch up and you know what!!! Pretty much when is over.. theres no coffee and watch a movie after it.. i would just get up and leave if you ask me!! Gets to complicated and weird!!!

If you have your rules between the two of you then there is no probs.. If one gets a little to feeling for him crap then you have problems there is no benefits there.. ;)

yeah.... i tend to not bother as you do end up becomning attached and you either end up in a relationship that you don't want to be in, or getting hurt...

if you both have the same understanding and stick to it... then everything is cool

If it works for you go for it, but be careful not to get attached.

I couldnt be friends with someone I was having casual sex with. It would have to be strictly just for meeting up and sex, none of the social stuff like movies or coffee like Amanda said.

It would just get too weird for me

And that has been the case for some of my girlfriends who have dove into this little experiment. They have always ended up falling for them then getting hurt.

both parties have to know exactly whats the deal and be comfortable with it. i have done it and it worked quite well. both me and the girl were sick of r/ships and being hurt yet still wanted that fun times so we did it and it worked great. we stopped when she started falling for a guy which i understood and we remained friends.
