Friends with benefits... I agree, works in principle. Cause we all have human impulses. But if you can't be open and firm about what you want and what you expect from the other, then it's never going to work. And you shouldn't lead someone into something like that.

I personally can do friends with benefits... and stay friends with the person the whole time, even get pizza and watch movies and everything and never want a relationship. However, they usually become attached to me, and then it has to end.

No matter who enters this situation you both have to be VERY honest and you'd be kidding yourself if you thought it would last forever... eventually the heart wants more, and we move on.

I'd like to coin the term "Fairweather f*** friends" right now... I like that. :)

I'm not the kind of person who can do that without growing attatched

I live for emotion and experience so it's really not possible for me to not become attatched somehow and probably to to have the sex without having some attatchment to begin with

In my experience friends with benefits or shag buddies as they are more commonly known in England, don't work. It starts off fine but after a while someone always gets more attached

can't do it.. wouldn't be able to live myself! if i wrote the law, i would throw girls with such habits in jail & not lohan! u can teach lohan to stop abusing drugs & alcohol but u can't teach virtues like dignity. so the mantra goes, no to friends with benefits & jail!!

Sometimes people have really busy lifestyles, so they just need that. As long as there are rules, such as getting people who aren't married or already in a long-term relationship that just want a bit on the side.

time spent on the side can be invested in a potential partner instead.
