My experience shows that somone always ends up getting hurt... and being as honestas you can doent always help either. More so its the honesty that can hurt people...

No Matter how many times you apologise, there is always going to be some form of humiliation or anxiety felt by either person.

I believe the best way is to start friends and become lovers.

Friends with benefits. Isn't the friend the benefit? :P
Once again, it's a personal choice. And don't let someone convince you that you can do it when you clearly know you can't or that you do have underlying feelings for them. If you are a young female know that you are worthy of something much better.
I have experienced it and it was over when the line was crossed...simple as that.
Set your boundaries, if you are going to enter into it, then honour ur boundaries from beginning to end...don't sit in denial and think it can develop into anything more if there is nothing more from the start...trust your initial instinct.
It is easy to get caught up in a moment but it is a whole lot easier if you are honest with yourself.
Females you should know that we release an endorphin that males don't have...in a simple version, it is called emotion...and this is released when in sexual contact with another human. (that is true, not me being sexist or derogative in any way!) That is a significant contribution as to why sometimes we may get attached while males can detach.

I think it is easy to judge people that do have this type of relationship but to me it is a bit like your sexuality, it is yours to express freely...there is no one sitting at the end of your bed judging you so don't sit at the end of others and judge them!

I need a friend with benefits. The benefit being an Amex Centurion.

I agree with Andy, start friends and become lovers! It's a moral issue for me. If I am not convinced he has an emotional interest in me well there is no way I'll feel like sharing anything more. Even if he's sex on legs.. Again, it's about your morals. The next thing I know, I'm caught on national tv in some practical joke getting hitched with Ian Thorpe! ;) I'm only 21 so I am allowed to change my mind :)

Personally I hate the idea of just running in and running out, all my favourite FBs have been friends with a mutual sexual attraction. I want to be able to chat to someone that I sleep with.

I kinda have fallen for this guy.. He's so lovely & I thought it was mutual. But I'm starting to see his true colours now & it ain't like a rainbow!

But I enjoy his company, he's quite sensual & it's so tempting to stick around but my conscience isn't happy!

What put me off was how he called me a kid. Even though it was jokingly, and it is aussie slang, I don't appreciate older males with an attitude towards younger girls. It made me wonder if his intensions were right! so busted he was :)

Helen.. are you really gonna turn down this guy your into cos he called you "Kid" i call my boss "Kid" i mean where's the harm in that term?? and it barely an attitude to younger people... i think you've made a generalisation about that term, that might not be so appropriate for its use. I wouldnt say that beause he called you "Kid" that its reflecting his true colours as a man who has attitude to younger girls.

anyways... my 2 cents.

Okay...sorry...but I agree with you Andy!
I date younger guys and sometimes say a phrase far more offensive than that...but its all a joke...its not like we're going to get married and have babies ever after.
You mentioned that he is lovely Helen ???
