Yes im a nerd. Majorly. I read read read... my friends give me shit for it all the time. Anyway does anyone here know of any good books they can recommend? i love all sorts: novels, information books ect. Or has anyone read anything that made a major impact on them?

a good one i can recommend is called The Five People You Meet In Heaven. It changed my view on dying. It doesn't make it seem so bad. It makes you think how one little action of yours, can affect so many other people, people you dont even know and will never meet- but you still affected them in someway. It's a good book, i hope what happens in it is what really happens when you die.

Cut- hollywood murders accidents and other tragedies.
An awesome book!! its got everyone you could imagine in!! actresses and actors, models, musicians from the early 1900's up to river phoenix and aaliyah. It is very sad to read also. The sad lives that some of them had. so many of them went trough life being adored, but by the time they died there was noone at their funerals. and poor Frances Farmer, she had it bad. and i learned that before he died, River Phoenix bought 800 hectares of rainforest so it couldnt be cut down, so the animals habitat wasnt destroyed and he got awards for ethical treatmeant to animals ect.

Heavier than Heaven
If you like kurt cobain. I do. obviously. Its an awesome bio. Very sad. Worth a read. Its very haunting. Its good lots of stuff, Kurts medical records, police files, early lyrics, it has some journal clips that weren't published in the actual KC journals.

Shallow Graves
a good book about Aussie murders and serial killers. There is some really fucked up shit in this so its not for everyone. If little kids being raped tortured and murded upsets you then dont read.

Lone Wolf-
another good one, but instead of serial killers this one is about spree killers. worth a read just to find out about the martin bryant consiracy... i dont know what to think anymore.

The Last chance Dog
good for something differet. Its about a Vet who changed her technique and started treatiing animals with natural medicines, ancient techniques and hollistc healing. a very interesting read.

White Fang and The call of the wild
Classics :)

i read a lot of motivational books, mainly for trianing purposes but some of them really give you a different perspective on yourself. My faves are:

think and grow rich- napolean hill (an oldie but a goodie)
eat that frog- cant remember who its by
the seven habits of highly effective people- dont know who thats by either
rich dad, poor dad- robert kiyosaki

and I think The Secret sounds interesting too so maybe i'll read that

ruru, if you like motivational books try "How to Become a CEO" by Jeffrey J Fox...each chapter is about 1.5 pages (small pages) so it's a super fast read and very very interesting...Also "The Art of Civilized conversation" by someone or the other...not sure who

Any book by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and "A Thin Dark" Line by Tami Hoag, Kate Moss's "Labrynth" isn't a bad read either!
