i have a formal this thursday
i bought my dress - ill upload a picture tomorrow - its a bright red satin - really pretty =)
however i just got my hair dyed too [ i hate it =( ] so now its really dark dark - almost black so my makeup ideas dont work

how do you think i should do my makeup
my hair
and accesorise

the dress is a red satin halterneck and ties up at the back
the skirt is just above the knee at the front with a split
and longer at the back and flows when walking

its a pretty full on dress so i doubt i need many accesories - i need some urgent colours for shoes and clutches!

any help appreciated

i think u should use black eyeliner on ur eyes n ofcourse mascara...i dnt think u should put any eyeshadow.....just draw wid da black eyeliner on your eye lids n i think u should put a little blush...not too much cuz the dress is already ready...u dnt wanna look shy...lol....mmm...transparent lip gloss will do it but if u wanna a sexier look put red lip stick.....
about ur hair colour, if u rlly dnt like u cd change it all or u cd get dark red highlights/strikes.
hope u look ur best

wow sorry you hate your hair. but NIX on the red highlights. DON'T do it. your dress sounds great, maybe you should go for a bracelet though, i'm thinking something silver, but keep it simple, you don't want to look too overdone. Also a strappy shoe would probably look best, but i'm blanking on the color. with your makeup, go for a natural look. Perhaps leave your hair down, giant waves so it's almost a curl, but not completely.

The first thing that came to mind was to pair the dark hair with an impacting red lipstick, much like something you'd expect of Adriana Lima.

Hmm I think if your hair is very dark a subtle tan would mean it wouldn't contrast too much against your skin. If your skin is pale it might look a bit gothic... Try something like Sally Hansen airbrush sun for face if you don't have much of a tan atm, it gives a nice subtle glow. And then I'd probably be thinking subtle black eye makeup (nothing too heavy) and red lips.

Accessories I guess you could just do black?

how 'bout silver sandals and bag? Could be more Summery.

I can definitley see a black shoe, and black accessories paired with the "impacting" red lipstick if you're going for a look more on the sultry side.

if you go with the black shoes and accessories then the hair will match

the red lipstick is a great idea and a small touch of silver to give some sparkle and class

silver or white diamond hair accessories to continue the silver theme and to loosen the impact of your hair if your not 100% comfortable

if you go with the red lipstick don't do too much with your eyes and makes seure to show plenty of teeth when you smile. simple shading, I'd stay away from darker colours on the eyes (just looked at your pics) a tiny touch of glitter in the makeup would look good on you if you go with the silver jewellery

just keep in mind not to overdo anything, the dress sounds fabulous so let it speak for itself
