whats everyones take on them? I would love to say I own hundreds but I dont... so far I just havent had the money to spend on a silk scarfe - that although it such a great thing to have in your wardrobe, hanging from your mirror, drpaed over a chair for fashion effect - i just dont think i would get enough wear out of it to warrent spending the money. I have seen so many that I just love... there is a pink 'kindergartten' style one i love, but mainly just the white ones... and I am just really intrested to hear everyones take on them. Are they mainly for older women....
thoughts....

for some reason they dont have any of the plane colour 'twillys' on the website... and it was mainly the "Twilly" that I was contemplating

Hermes do some amazing scarves, and Louis Vuitton could learn a lot for them. Despite being so frequently copied, do any of the Hermes scarves above look like fakes?

Hermes scarves are quite functional...in more ways than you expect...I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, that they come with a book of ways to tie them.

I have seen them worn as shirts (beautifully done) and jackets (tres cute) and scarves and smaller ones as bracelets and purse adornments....they are so very useful, I'm thinking of getting the new "Plaza de Toros" for myself.

The ones above are all real and off the Hermes website.

I just want a tilly i think... I dont think I would get enough use out of a scarfe persay. I do love those scarves though, the black white and grey horse one is just stunning, and I love the simple design of the 'H' which is the blue one.

I would have to get either a white tilly or either the black and white or blue one as they would go with pretty much everything... hmmmm

I think they're great - the first one is fantastic. Definitely not just for older women.

I love them... particularly the first and last. I have tons of vintage scarfs that I don't wear as often as I should, but they are really versatile and pretty. I'd love a Hermes one. :)

I'm in love with this beautiful Hermes scarf. Gorgeous bright butterflies and blossoms against a black background.

Although they do have a older-asian-woman-with-money kinda feel as most silk scarves do, I think they defiantly can be worn with confidence on anyone.

As an example, the first scarf is gorgeous, really 'now', and young and sexy. I don't think an 45yr old asian lady with a platinum amex would go for it! Where as the black scarf with bright butterflies is more traditional, but these days its not so easy to say that! If you have seen Salvatore Ferragamo scarves, the print is really traditional, but so funky at the same time, really wearable pieces of art. (That man is *truly* a genius!)

Shows like Sex and the City - their styling has bought about such a change in attitudes, its more about what *you* think looks good, and with confidence, just wear it with style!
