What I don't get is how they think that's reasonable. I know Australia is behind the times on such things, but anything less than 1 gig is going to be far too easy to churn through when you weigh up the fact that you've got a device that doesn't just seek out data, but has it pushed to it as well.
yeh its crap..... but i won't be getting one for a while... see what 3 have to offer if they get it... or quite possibly get the iPhone 3G from the states... of course cheaper! and hopefully throw in my 3 sim and it should work!? =)
* Buy it from a country providing multiple carriers (say the UK, cause the Pound is weak against our over-inflated dollar)
* Or buy it from Optus and pay them $80 to unlock it for you.
* Throw in your 3 Sim
* Pay 3 $29 for 1 gig of data per month
That seems to be far cheaper than the rest of them.
Three aren't getting it any time soon, but have created new rates especially for such devices. So expect the battle to be fought by three on price point.
