Hey guys,

So my grandparents have downsized and my nan has given me a shole pile of her old suits and whatnot that dont fit her anymore to sell and keep the money for myself. They are all Covers and that sort of brand, so really expensive clothes. The problem is that I have no idea how to sell them. I am really no good on ebay and more importantly I dont know how much they are worth. Can any of you help me with this at all? Are there any stores in Melbourne or anywhere in VIC that buys second hand clothes to sell in there stores? I really need the money so am hoping to try and get this organised as quickly as I can but I am really confused... all the clothes are in perfect condition, my nan is... well... she looks after her stuff and it all barley gets worn! lol. Please help me!!!

Hmmm, in London I could tell you where to go straight away. Here in Vic the first thing that springs to mind is Williamstown; I'm not sure if it still happens, but they used to have a vintage clothing sale there where high-end and rare piece would be sold to collectors or to store owners. Hit up Google to see if that still happens. If not, hit up some of the vintage stores (there's an ace one in Castlemaine) to see if any of them would be interested in seeing the pieces.

I think there are some that buy in Hawthorn, Windsor, and there used to be one or two city centre but I haven't been in ages so I'm not sure they're still open. I'll see if I can find the names of the inner-city ones :)

I'd hit up the Yellow Pages and start ringing companies within.

How desperate are you for the information?
There's at least one place just off Sydney road in Brunswick that buys decent vintage stuff, but I don't remember where it is exactly and won't have a chance to go exploring till Saturday.

i have ended up just takling everything to Muff at queen vic market. They will sell my stuff on a 50% consignment agreement. Obviously I wont probably make as much if I had of just sold them independently but I couldnt find anywhere that does that and I really just dont have time to muck around with ebay at the moment... working 6 days is intense!
