start with clean skin, then use a skin primer, use a sheer foundation as close to your skin tone as possible and use a sponge to apply it! blend around your hairline and throat, and around your eyes do light strokes inward. I put color correcting concealer under foundation (the green, yellow and purple stuff) and skin color concealer after my foundation so i dont put too much on. Then pat loose powder over the top- thats what gives is staying power and that flawless look!
I wear makeup only when I go out- but when I wear it I want it to look perfect!

I like to use Bare Escentuals mineral makeup as it's free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance, dyes, and other chemicals that can irritate skin. Firstly I apply Natural Light Face Lifting Duo. One side is used when you want to shade away shadows around the eyes, nose folds, lip corners, or below the bottom lip and the other side is applied above the brows, on the inner and outer corners of the eye, and on the high points of the face to highlight. Finally I apply a light dusting of All-Over Face Color in Clear Radiance (sheer translucent glow) You end up with a natural, lit-from-within glow.

do not use a sponge!!! you lose half the product to it and go through foundation way quicker.

Theabsolute must is to get a foundation that is PROPERLY MATCHED i cannot stress this enough. So many clients come to me and want their foundation darker than what their face is.... NO - USE A BRONZER!

Depending on the foundation you dont necessarily need a primer. My fave is Nars foundation, using their primer. Then start from the centre of the face in 3 sections. First from the nose, apply 2 spots of make up either side of the nose and blend them out to nothing. Do the same on the forehead with one spot int he middle, then again on the chin. Generally blemishes/impoerfections will occur through the centre of the face, so there is no need to have foundation around the hairline. This is why it is so important to have the right colour

then apply loose powder with a sponge, or brush, but generally sponge as if you use a brush the powder can sit on top of the skin, not go into the foundation. Concealer always works well over powder, and please DO NOT apply under eye concealer until AFTER applying eye make up, otherwise fall out is a lot harder to get rid of. It is optional to apply bronzer after the loose powder. Again, the absolute best bronzer is Nars Laguna bronzer. You don't have to apply bronzer but on any face a bit of colour is always nice

ohh i mix moisturiser with my foundation for the dry spots or when i want a little coverage. I hardly wear makeup and when i do i'm a mascara and eyeliner girl too! Eyeshadows can really bring out your eyes and finish off your look- try department store counters (Myer or DJs) the girls there are generally really good at finding colors that will suit your skintone or an outfit you wanna wear, and will show you the best way to apply it to give you a great look! Otherwise the girls at napolean will do the same and are a great help as well.

The simple eye look is great for young models as people want to see fresh face not bruised eye look.
But yer get some one on one advice then experiment at home. Get some goooood brushes too babe.

i would stay away from napoleon unless you want to look really made up

dry patches: make sure you are using an exfoliator 2 x weekly, and use the right moisturiser fro your skin (ie one specifically for dry skin)then use a good primer under the foundation and make sure you are using a moisturising make up. if you want one that is oil free but still moisturising, Prescriptives is a good one

eyes: if you want something more than eyeliner and mascara but still want to keep it simple, i always find a bronzy brown looks good then blend some black shadow above the lashes on the top lid. Beige is great for bringing out brown eyes, as is purple and green, so try a few of those colours. Don't be afrais of colour, you dont have to wear loads to make it look good.

Hi Katie is right i dont know where your from and if its available there, but dermologica are excellent skin care specialists, the do a thing called skin mapping, and anaylis ur face, so if u have a combination of dry and maybe oily tzone the give you the best products to combat problems, but you may find ur skin is just dehydrated, try drinkin more water where possible and avoid or cut down on cafeene intake and smoking all these things promote dry and age the skin.
