The long room is a bar in the city, im working there tomorrow as a 'hostess' so talking to people etc. i looked at their internet site and it looks really classy and very well furnished :) i was wondering if any of you have ever been?

i used to go there when it first opened. knew people then who also were hosts and bar managers. very nice place indeed, great fittings. nice sushi bar too.

i stopped going when they decided to be the fashion police and knock back people who didnt come out of the poxy jeans, dress shoes and untucked shirt mould or the buisness man mould. there used to never be anyone at the door and you would get a great mix of people there.

who knows it might have changed but i can only vouch for the great fittings and what it used to be.

im sure you'll have a blast there.

Kaz sounds like a great job for you!! :) It is a nice bar - last time we went there the crowd was a bit old but I can't remember which night that was...

I overheard the funniest conversation in the lavatory at Long Room once.

To past-it, 30 year old guy are at the sink. You know the type. Shirts barely buttoned up, pants overly tight. They think they're hot as hell. They're clearly not using the mirror in the lavatory to be under that impression.

I went a little something like this;

OG#1: What do you think of this place?
OG#2: Best place I know, the chicks here are great.
OG#1: Yeah?
OG#2: Yeah. This one time, I came this close to picking up.

Haha too funny, that was the same night I was talking about with the older crowd yeah? I'd be interested to know which night that was (Friday maybe??) and which nights are better.

Yeah it was that night. Can't remember which, Renata organised it during MMSFW didn't she?

yes i have today been warned by a few friends that the crowd isnt always so lovely, but oh well its work, the venue is pretty and should be with a few other girls .. let you guys know how it went!

i hate those bloody fashion police places :S mainly because i hate going to a place and every person in there looks the same- only in different colors!

Went there for the Miishu show during MMSFW. Nice and big with few booths in little areas dug into walls. Very nice and intimate settings.

How did it go Kaz?
