I love tights. There's nothing like woolen tights to keep oneself warm in the middle of winter... or to wear with skirts and dresses past october. Well, ok, I live in Canada. It's pretty cold up here.
Anyway, I was wondering what you thoughts were on tights, especially those of the opaque, coloured or textured variety. In my case, I've got nothing bolder in my closet than a turquoise one made of merino wool, or a couple of ribbed grey woolen ones. I wear them with high heeled mary janes and oxfords, with a nice simple dress or skirts. They add a bit of colour or quirkiness to otherwise drab outfits... but maybe they're too "librarian-chic".
So, tights! Do you like them, with what would you wear them, do you own many, what are your favourite brands?
I also have a bit of a problem... being very long-legged and quite skinny, it's hard for me to find tights that fit. I end up in a sizing no-mans-land, so I get to choose between tights that fit my weight (but so short I'll have to pull them up often) or tights that fit my height (but are made for girls 50 pounds heavier than me). Any idea which is better? Or even better, do you know any brand that would fit me?

I love tights too :) They are great in winter on that kinda coldish day with a dress and cute heels or flats! Hhhhmmm. I have only 3 or 4 pair but i love them all. I have sparkely blue ones that are very nice :) && my nice black woolen warm ones ..
