My sister is planning on taking me to the races as soon as i turn 18 but i have no idea of what to wear. What are the Do's and Dont's? Anyone have any great tips?

Member's box or general admission?

general admission. my sister recommends that i enter fashions on the field aswell but i have no idea how it is judged or what the criteria is, let alone what to wear!

If you're not doing a member's box then the best thing is to go for elegance, but with a heavy fashion mix in there. Far too many girls go for the tarty/flesh revealing angle, but that's seldom what wins the fashion in the fields.

it depends on what budget you have babe. google fashion on the fields for spring carnival you should be able to find some stuff on the net. shop around, try and find something that isnt going to be EVERYWHERE at the races... thats the part that is most difficult. make sure it is a comfortable outfit, and definitly wear something in your hear or on your head but just make sure it suits you, doesnt just look good. also make sure it is slightly practical - there is nothing moire annoying than a hair peice you have to fix every 5 seconds or a dress that will get stepped on!

dont go for the "skin" look! try something elegant and classic rather than bits hangin out :)
