1940s / 1950s hairstyle inspiration

Written by Daniel P Dykes

One of the things that I dearly love about 2009 fashion is the constant revitalisation of classic motifs; a revitalisation that is also apparent in this year's women's hair trends. Thus, if you'll permit me, may I present you with a visual treat that personifies the year's 1940s hairstyle come-back.

1940s hair style

With a late 1940s / early 1950s hairstyle laced throughout, this shoot features model Viktoriya Sasonkina and was photographed by Steven Meisel with styling by Andrew Richardson. It appeared in Vogue Italia back in September 2008 but is no less relevant now.
