Day 3 - Bed hair the Bohemian way

Written by Ren

In day three of our series looking at tips and tricks for getting perfect bed hair we turn to the boho/foho look often sported by the likes of hypermodel Kate Moss and model-come-actress Sienna Miller.

Sienna Miller, seen here with ex Jude Law, is known for her boho style and always gets away with relaxed messy hair

We've previously looked at bed hair for bleached blondes and a few general styling tips.

Today's, however, come from Jen; a Melbourne make-up artist and resident fashioniser who has done make-up artistry for short films, television, magazine shoots, and weddings. Thanks Jen!

Today's Tips - Day 3 - The Boho Look

To create a natural, bohemian style look, your hair needs to be clean, slightly damp, and unbrushed. The best time to create this look is after a shower or bath so that your hair dries and sits naturally.

Flip your hair upside down and apply a generous amount of volumising mousse, such as Scharzkopf Maximum Hold or TRESemme Extra Control, from scalp to tip.

Flip your hair back again and let it part naturally as you gently scrunch and lift around the crown of the head and the ends of the hair.

Use a teasing comb to quickly back comb the entire head. Remember: bed hair is a natural and effortless look, so it doesn't have to be perfect.

Lastly, spray your hair with a hairspray such as Sunsilk's Flexible Hold or Garnier's Fructis Full Control. Again, the bed hair look is supposed to be loose and relaxed, so only a small amount of hairspray is required.
