Before long a new film interpretation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s Great Gatsby will hit cinema screens, and we’ll find out whether Baz Lurhman’s influence over wider culture will make a grand return. Flapper girls and dapper boys are hard to resist, so we’re tipping there’ll be some roaring twenties inspirations dreaming their way into the minds of the fashion world before long. And with it, pin curls? We wish: but alas, as hair goes full pin curls are a generally too finicky for the modern girl and usually reserved for special occasions (if that). But then again, Prada’s gelled down example (as worn here by Jac Jagaciak) is a slightly more simple, easy to reinterpret take. One to practice, perhaps?
As noted by Craig from Altamira, photographer of this shot, Jac’s “on-duty jazz hair meets off-duty rock leather” makes for a brilliantly androgynous, vintage-meets-modern look.
